“¡Hola! ¿Cómo estás?” (Ola, Como estas?). This means “Hello. How are you?” in Spanish. Spanish is spoken by over 400 million people worldwide. An exciting course that opens the door to this language is being held in Tokyo.
A “Spanish Conversation for Beginners” course will be held at Tokyo Metropolitan Ueno High School over four sessions from November 30 to December 21, 2024. Each session is 2 hours long, totaling 8 hours of instruction. The course covers Spanish basics, daily conversations, and cultural aspects.
The instructor is an English teacher at Ueno High School who is fluent in Spanish. Professional language education guidance will be a strong ally for beginners.
The course fee is only 1,000 yen. Limited to 20 participants, it promises personalized instruction. This course is part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education’s initiative to open up educational functions of metropolitan high schools, aiming to provide high-quality learning opportunities to Tokyo residents.
The application period is from October 17 to 28, 2024. If applications exceed capacity, participants will be selected by lottery, but it’s definitely worth trying. Applications are to be made by return postcard.
