A: 実は、人間だけがくしゃみの時に目を閉じるわけではありません。ほとんどの哺乳類がくしゃみ時に目を閉じます。これは生存本能による反射作用なのです。くしゃみの際、体内の圧力が急激に上昇し、その圧力は目にも及びます。目を閉じないと、理論上は眼球が飛び出す可能性があるのです！ 実際に起こる確率は極めて低いですが、私たちの脳は何百万年もの進化の過程でこの反射を獲得しました。つまり、くしゃみのたびに、あなたの脳は無意識のうちに「眼球保護モード」に入っているのです。
